FOUNDER'S MESSAGE
Our story began three years ago when I first volunteered in Uganda. I absolutely fell in love with the country, the culture, and the people. It wasn’t all sunshine though. I had built up an expectation that when I volunteered I would make a massive difference and change the lives of the people around me over there.
I was quickly challenged.
I’d signed up with a large NGO and hardly any of the money I’d raised actually went to the communities I was in… Since then, I have been working on a model that actually works – now it’s our turn to challenge the system! We have grown an incredibly strong team of 15 over the past 3 years, taken pilot trips overseas and partnered with three international organisations.
We are now excited to announce our first trip to Uganda in January 2019 where we will be building a school for 1000 children.
But what about the future? We’re focusing on a student volunteer model for our first trip, but our model is sustainable and scalable so we’ve got big plans for our future endeavours.
