Our Story
-
"It was a feeling of hopelessness. I had fundraised so much money locally and yet so little of this went towards helping the communities I was in."
Laura Robinson, Purpose Projects Founder.
How it Works
Students work in their local community to raise money for projects in developing countries.
The students then travel as a group to the countries to offer their skills and better their understanding of global communities.
Developing Communities
We work with local organisations in the countries to ensure we are actually providing support in the areas where it's most needed.
Local Communities
Families and businesses around New Zealand are supplied with a motivated workforce of students and the opportunity to fund real differences in the developing communities.
Student Communities
Students gain a holistic understanding of international aid, developing awareness and becoming more engaged world citizens.

Our Values
100% Transparency
What’s really important is that the way the money is spent is completely transparent! The funds raised go directly towards our projects and the whole process is documented along the way.
Long-term Impact
We’re partnered with experienced local organisations who completely understand their communities’ issues and how we’re best able to make differences that will be of benefit for many generations to come.
Connecting Communities
We want everyone involved to understand how they are connected. We are joining communities together to spread a global awareness of compassion for the other humans that we share this planet with.
